The UK’s nightlife scene needed a boot into the digital age, so we began working on UX designs for an industry-first app, to bring the VIP clubbing experience to all — with access to the best venues, instant entry and great benefits.
The designs needed to allow partygoers to easily book guest-lists with group discounts, save favourite venues, view live media and find information such as location and nearby transport links.
To ensure pixel-perfect handoff for the UI and animations I created prototypes in Framer and Xcode, which later allowed us to integrate night mode and optimise for the iPhone X.
Once a solid build for iOS was in place we adapted the designs for Android.
Branding and marketing
Alongside the mobile app designs I created the branding, to be used for marketing campaigns, presentations and social media. Once the branding was established I developed a mobile-first marketing site and set of email campaigns.
Ballin launched in 2019 with over a hundred clubs signed up across London.
