In 2014 I was approached by the UK team at WeChat for help with the homepage designs for their new cross-platform app. The site’s main purpose was to highlight the new mobile app’s cross-platform features.
They required style guides and user interface designs that embraced their new global rebrand, with transitions and animations that elevated the experience to the next level.


The designs incorporated animations, videos, carousels and engaging interactive sections, with transitions and parallax effects to join the sections together and keep the scrolling experience fun and informative.

The layouts were designed on a responsive layout that was optimised for the handheld devices on which the app was available. WeChat went on to launch their new homepage shortly after in 2014.
